Betyetu is the newest betting platform in Kenya, and it comes into the show behind Sportpesa, betway.co.ke, Mcheza.co.ke, betin.co.ke and betpawa.co.ke. However, it allows one to make bets of as low as KSh10, which sets it apart from the rest.
To register, all that one needs to do is SMS the word “Betyetu” to 29111. A confirmation message will be sent once registration is complete and an account has been created. The message will also contain the PIN to the account.
Depositing money
To start betting, one needs to make a deposit into the account following the procedure below:
- Go to the MPesa menu on your Safaricom line.
- Select Lipa na MPesa
- Select Paybill
- Enter the paybill business number 850704. For the account name, enter Betyetu.
- Enter the Amount
- Enter your pin
- Confirm
Betting
There are three options to select from when betting based on a win, draw or loss. The example below illustrates betting options, and is based on a simple bet on who shall win a match:
1 – Home Team wins
X – Draw result
2 – Away Team wins.
To bet on your team, visit betyetu.co.ke and identify the game (s) you wish to bet on, enter the GAME ID# 1=Home win # Bet amount and send the text to 29888. For example, 4366#1#100.
The minimum amount you can place a bet with is KSh10.
Betyetu allows different options for you to bet and the odds are clearly displayed next to the various markets. The maximum payout of any winning bet shall be 1000 x amount staked or KSh1,000,000, whichever is the lower.
Withdrawal
If you have won, check your gaming wallet to confirm your balance. To withdraw, send an SMS with the words ‘Amount’ to 29111. The process can take up to 10 minutes.
